Caption: It may have been finals week, but graduate student Derek Leslie-Cook's all-nighter ended with a proposal, not an exam. Just after midnight on Dec. 19, he began carving a message into the snow covering a campus tennis court near the Allen Centennial Gardens. Five hours later, he picked up girlfriend Michelle Moravan (also known as Mic) and walked her to the spot where he had spelled out "Will you marry me Mic" using footsteps and red Kool-Aid. Despite the early hour, she said yes.
