Caption: UW-Madison sophomore and mentor Roslyn Pedracine tutors second-grader Patricia Blake during a PEOPLE Prep Program (Pre-College Enrichment Opportunity Program for Learning Excellence), an after-school program held at Northport and Packers Learning Community in northeast Madison. The PEOPLE Prep Program is preparing children starting as early as second grade for eventual admission to the PEOPLE Middle School Program. Mentors are graduates of the PEOPLE Program and many of the tutors assisting are undergraduate students from the School of Education.
