Founded by CEO Rob Engelke in 1977, Ultratec is a leader in production of micro-processor-based teletypewriter (TTY) technology for use by deaf and hard-of-hearing people. Engelke graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1968 with a B.S. in electrical engineering and will receive an honorary Ph.D. degree from UW-Madison during a May 2012 commencement ceremony.
