Caption: On Dec. 9, 2009, hundreds of students converged on Observatory Hill near Elizabeth Waters Hall at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to play in the fresh snow and sled -- often on cafeteria trays -- down the hill. University classes were canceled and the campus was closed when a winter storm left 14-plus inches of snow.
