About the photo library
The library currently holds 7874 photos of campus and campus life. The images held in the library are 400X600 pixel JPEG files - a resolution suitable for web publishing and other electronic uses, but generally too low for print needs. The images in the library are a representative sample of our full photo collection.

Who can use the site
UW-Madison faculty, staff, students and alumni and the news media may use any of the images on this site for non-commercial, publicity communication pieces about UW-Madison. How to use the site
To navigate the site, browse one of four broad categories or search for images by either caption, school/college or keyword. Each thumbnail links to a larger version for downloading. Instructions for downloading the images are accessible from each large-photo page.

How to request larger files or prints
If you need a print or a file with greater resolution than that of the files in the library, take note of the file ID(s) corresponding to the photos you are interested in and contact photographer Bryce Richter at (608) 262-7411 or .
